Frequently asked questions.

What Should I Expect During My First Visit?

Before your initial consultation, you’ll be asked to complete a detailed health questionnaire to help me gain a comprehensive understanding of your concerns. During your appointment, I’ll review and discuss your health history with you, followed by a thorough physical and neurological examination. If it’s safe and appropriate, you’ll also receive a chiropractic adjustment during this visit. You may be referred for xrays is this is clinically relevant. Please allow at least 45 minutes for your appointment.

I Don’t Like to Be ‘Cracked.’ Can I Be Adjusted Without Cracking?

Absolutely. I utilize a variety of chiropractic techniques, and many of my patients prefer alternatives to traditional manual adjustments. Your treatment plan will be developed collaboratively, prioritizing your comfort, preferences, and the most suitable approach for your specific condition. We will always discuss your treatment options before proceeding with your adjustment.

I Prefer to Be ‘Cracked.’ Will the Chiropractor Use Manual Adjustments?

If you prefer traditional manual adjustments, this can certainly be accommodated, provided it is clinically appropriate. There are some cases where manual adjustments may not be the best option for you and/or your complaint. During your consultation, we’ll discuss your preferences and determine the most effective and suitable treatment plan for you.

Will Medicare Cover My Appointment?

Medicare only covers chiropractic care under the Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) scheme, which requires a referral from your GP. If you qualify, a gap payment may still apply.

Will My Private Health Insurance Cover Chiropractic Care?

Coverage varies depending on your health fund and policy. It’s best to check directly with your provider to confirm chiropractic coverage. If your insurance card is on hand, claims can be processed on the spot through our HICAPS facility, with any gap payable at the time of your visit.

Do You Accept WorkCover or TAC Claims?

I do not accept new patients under WorkCover or TAC. If you are an existing patient, please discuss your circumstances with me before initiating a claim.

How Often Will I Need Treatment?

Treatment frequency is tailored to your individual needs and goals. After a comprehensive consultation, I will provide a diagnosis and recommend a personalized treatment plan that aligns with your objectives.
