pediatric chiropractic

I am often asked, “Can you adjust my children too?” As a chiropractor with postgraduate training in both pregnancy and pediatrics, I provide care for newborns through to school-aged children, addressing a variety of biomechanical and movement concerns, as well as aches and pains. My approach to pediatric chiropractic is gentle and tailored to each individual child, utilizing age-appropriate techniques, ensuring a safe and comfortable experience for your child.

Infants

I am often asked, “Why would a baby need to see a chiropractor?” Parents commonly seek chiropractic care for their babies to address concerns such as plagiocephaly (flat head), difficulty turning their head to one or both sides, asymmetrical feeding, hip dysfunction or dysplasia, and discomfort during tummy time, among other developmental or biomechanical issues.

Pre-School

Care for children and infants includes a thorough evaluation encompassing a spinal and postural assessment, neurological examination, assessment of primitive and postural reflexes, movement analysis, and evaluation of muscular function.

School-aged kids and teenagers

Chiropractic care for children is gentle, tailored, and age-appropriate, supporting newborns through to high-school-aged kids. As a chiropractor with postgraduate training in both pregnancy and pediatrics, I address a variety of biomechanical and movement concerns, as well as aches and pains, using techniques specifically designed for children.

I avoid manual adjustments or "cracking" for children, instead utilizing gentle methods like the activator, often referred to as the “clicker.” Many of my young patients enjoy the clicker, and I’m frequently delighted to hear about them using toy versions to “adjust” their family members at home, inspired by their own chiropractic experience.
